Silver for Valerie Adams
Valerie Adams won silver in the London Olympics women's shot put, beaten by a stunning series of throws by her great rival Nadzeya.
Adam’s silver medal throw was 20.70m, while the gold medal throw was 21.36m. Adam could only manage 20.70. Adam was looking the first person to successfully to defend the women's shot put title since Tamara Press in 1964. Adams was really upset, her goal was to get gold.
