Henri Matisse & pablo Picasso


Matisse Picasso

Mattise and Picasso were both living in the same era. They are two of the world’s most famous artists. Picasso is a very unusual artist who has tried painting many different styles. Henri Matisse’s are more realistic.They both have a painting that includes the same subject, a potrait of a women. PIcaso’s painting is called, ‘The Weeping Women’.  Henry matises is called The Women with a hat. It shows a lady sufferring from the spanish of the other famouse artis.civil war.  

The theme is about the weeping woman witch Pablo Picasso drew.
And the other theme is about the woman with the hat witch Henri Matisse.

Henri Matisse was born on December 31, 1869 in Le Cateau-Cambresis In northern france. his parents owns a genaral store where they sold household goods and seeds. Henri matisse was their first son. When Henri Matisse was a young man, he traveled to paris to study law. When he was 21 yrs old his mother gave him a paint box. In 1891 Matisse traveled to paris to study art academie julian. His first teacher told him that he would never learn to draw. In 1954, at the age of 84, Matisse died a recognized leader in modern art. He was later praised as a supporter of the classical tradition in french painting. In the 1840’s Matisse began creating paper collages.


Palbo PIcaso was born in Malaga, Spain on 25 October 1887. In 1900 Picasso made his first trip to paris. At the time Paris was considered to be the art capital of Europe.  While in Paris Picasso's work began to attract the attention of art collectors. It was through when he meet an french artist Henri Matisse. The two became life longing Friends. He also became a printer a painter and drawer.
