Good Bye Pt England.

Dear Pt England I just like to say a BIG thank you to all that teachers that has taught me all these years. Thinking about all my friends and teachers that has helped me to be kind and helpful. And the BIGGEST thank you to Mr Burt (principal) & Ms King. Pt England has been my first Primary & Intermediate school.

This year has been very fun. And I have a really great teacher Ms King. She is my last teacher at Pt England school. So I'm going to miss Pt England very much :'( GOOD BYE PT ENGLAND <3

India sends spacecraft to Mars.

                                          

In India they have started their first spacecraft to Mars. Their hoping that the spacecraft will reach Mars safety. They planned to send the spacecraft to travel 300 days. The rocket had lifted off on Tuesday the 5th of November and it should reach mars  in September 2014.

People are asking whether  India should be spending $130 million on a space rocket when their country is one of the highest position for childhood malnutrition in the world.  We think that India shouldn’t have paid $130 million dollars just for a space rocket when their are many children that needs to be feed.

If their plan succeeds then India will be the fourth space agency to reach Mars.  What will you choose, spend $130 million on a spacecraft or save more children from dying of hunger?.

Halloween.

Halloween.

Halloween is celebrated on the night of 31st of october. The word Halloween is a shortcut for All Hallows Eve. Other countries celebrated it too like the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia And United Kingdom.

Trick-or-treating is an Activity for us around Halloween in which they go to house to house in there costumes and people giving them candy. Halloween wasn't supposed to be about candy. It was about the people that died.

It includes bonfires, trick or treating, And visiting houses for candy. Halloween is popular in the united states and the united kingdom. Trick or treating was spreading around the western united states.

Early national attention to trick-or-treating was given in October 1947 of the children's magazines Jack and Jill and Children's Activities, and by Halloween episodes of the network radio programs The Baby Snooks Show in 1946 and The Jack Benny Show and The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet in 1948.

Lizabeth, Ana & Kimberly (cyclone in India)

In India half a million of people have been evacuated out of there houses in eastern India due to a powerful cyclone. During that cyclone there has been a powerful hit, it has washed away tens and thousands of people. Roof tops from huts has been washed away from the mud, And flooding towns and villages.

Some octopuses, some fish and a few
mermaids were happily frolicking in a rock
pool. Altogether there were 38 arms, 24 eyes
and 8 tails all swimming in the pool.
How many mermaids were there?

The Pizza Place in my town has three

tables of the same size. The Chicken

N Chips restaurant has four of the

same sort of table.

The Chicken N Chips can just seat 24

people. How many people can The

Pizza Place seat?

Now a third of the seats at The Chicken N Chips were

empty and a half of the places at The Pizza Place were

empty. If 18 more people wanted to eat out, how many

would have to be turned away from the two restaurants?

Cross country!!

“ year 8 girls you're up next!” yelled Mrs Nua. Standing at the starting line, having butterflies. “ on your mark, get set,” Shouted Mr Burt, And the siren went on to tell us to go!. Jogging around the cone. Going around the field. Feeling puffed out but I was still not giving up.

I was still running but I got tired so just started to walk fast. While I was walking, I saw Rita so I just started running with her. When I was almost to the finish line, Miss Va’afusuanga was encouraging me, So I was racing to finish line. Feeling puffed out. 1st lap done.

Going around the cone again, feeling the slippery mud with my muddy feet which was very yukk “ lucky I wasn’t running with my shoes” I said to myself.

The mud was splashing all over my my legs “YUKK!!” I said I was still running but I was feeling very tired. So I just started to walk. Once I got to Mr Barks I started to jog the rest of the run. finally I got to the finish. I reckon that Cross country was actually fun.

Last day of school\Holidays

Last day of school, I'm like already Missing my friends and Teachers. I hope that when we all come back from school we go higher in something and we all go higher in reading, writing and maths. When I came home from school, My Nan came and picked me up. So I was like YAYY!!! I hope that next term we all enjoy the new topic of the term. And hope that next term in the street we guest to do alot of fun stuff. On Saturday morning I came back from my nanas.My room was a mess so I cleaned it up, and asked my mum if she needed help with the house and she said "yes, can you please do the dishes" and I said excitedly "sure"
So I did the dishes washed and packed them away.

REFLECTION.

KIA ORA my name is Elizabeth, I have been answering these questions that Ms King gave us. These questions mean that I have been a bit good in these subjects.

This term I have done good in fitness, and a little bit in writing.

I still want to be good in writing, reading and maths.

I have done really well in maths, and fitness.

The most challenging was when I just started in fitness and starting the maths gloss test.

I really wanna challenge my self  in writing because I am not doing well in writing.

QUESTION: HOW HAS YOUR LEARNING CHANGED ?

My learning has changed in maths, and I learned about the human body.

I reckon that I can change it up further in writing next year in college.

Jack and the beanstalk story board

Prospective Student.

The boy, with a lean wiry body,  climbed the tall towering mountains. Feeling scared and nervous he kept climbing to get to the top . going through all that tough things he finally made it to the top. When he got there he felt very exhausted and his muscles were aching. As he was walking towards the big door he crossed his finger’s with hope.

He knocked on the door and the sensei opened it, he took a ball to the sensei ,and sensei pointed. He thought that he was telling him to go away,  but the boy was feeling very sad and he got rejected. But really the sensei told him to use the other door.

fairytale.

Once upon a time there were three young wolf’s who lived on a farm with their family. One day when they were kicking back the mother said “ GET UP AND GET OUT!!! You're getting too old , and I’m getting sick of doing your room when YOU’RE supposed to do it yourself. So the three wolfs split up and went out on a journey to find out where they might  live.

The first wolf was really lazy he just wanted his house to finish quick so he could kick back inside. He made his house out of plastic bottles. It was finished within half an hour he was really happy and said “Hahaha I finished  before you all and you can’t bet that shame. So off he went to kick back in his new house. The terrifying pig came along and knocked at the door. “Who is it” the wolf said with a lazy voice. “Big wolf big wolf please let me in” the terrifying pig said. You can come in if you want. The pig enter the house and the wolf was really scared. “Oh no” the wolf said
